Continued 1
Jul. 15th, 2009 12:39 amThe wind kicked up, and I saw his long ponytail waving like a flag. He was standing in the shadows. The sound stopped, and he stood still.
The oddest feeling came over me then. Like something was covering me, like a thin blanket. I felt it wrap around me, and all the sounds of the wind faded away....
I stood, not really thinking about what I was doing. I needed directions, so this guy could show me the way out of here.... I slowly walked up to him, and saw that he was watching me. Staring intently at me like he was trying to read my mind. The oddest thing was, I wasn't bothered by it.
I stood not two inches away from him, and he didn't move. I didn't either. I stared right back at him, wondering what would happen next. Not caring what happened next.
I'm a little curious, how you got here.
I wasn't even shocked when I heard the voice. It's like all my life I was expecting to hear it, and from this guy. Like this was fate. I didn't know who this guy was, and yet I wasn't scared. I wasn't.... anything really.
He turned and started walking away. I felt the strongest pull towards him, like a leash. Odd. I followed him.
We walked for the longest time in the oddest silence. When we reached the sidewalk near the big intersection, I couldn't hear the cars whizzing by. Like everything was snuffed out. He was the only thing that mattered. It was when he stopped walking that I realized he knew where I lived.
Then he turned and looked at me again.
Then I felt the fear.
"W-w-who are you?" I stuttered in a quiet little voice. I realized I could hear my own breath again. I sounded like a trapped rabbit hyperventilating. I placed a hand on my heart and closed my eyes. Commanded myself to calm down.
When I opened my eyes he wasn't there.
